True North Professional Studies (Chapter of Seattle Study Club)
True North Professional Studies is the only chapter of Seattle Study Club in the East Metro area of the Twin Cities.
Our study club provides the highest quality of continuing education available through its affiliation with Seattle Study Club. Our members are dentist and dental specialists furthering their education through a structured curriculum incorporating an understanding of case management, clinical interaction, and group learning among peers. We continue to evolve annually since our inception in 1993.

OUR MISSION
True North Professional Studies offers and environment for personal and professional growth that results in real behavior change. Our core values are a full-team approach to comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning, elevating the quality of patient care and learning through peer-to-peer engagement. Our curriculum is curated and customized to bring global dentistry to the heart of your practice.
Our members are a group of dedicated dental professionals committed to improving knowledge and skills resulting, and an ability to care for patients through three fundamental disciplines: education, encouragement, and excellence.
The curriculum includes lectures, workshops, and symposia, with a focus on learning among one’s peers that sets our members above and beyond those seeking routine continuing education online or a weekend course. The program is purposely structured to avoid the random nature of many continuing education programs. This environment provides a unique networking opportunity with other dentists and dental specialists, dental hygienists, vendors, and world-class speakers that is often overlooked by those seeking continuing education.
Multidisciplinary treatment planning and treatment planning sessions are an integral part of our program.
Our affiliation with Seattle Study Club provides access to some of the best-known names in dental education and the highest quality programming available. Each year we reassess and structure of program in response to our members’ interests to address the rapid changes in the practice environment in a structure way.

North Star Hygiene Study Club
True North Professional Studies sponsors a dental hygiene study club, the North Star Hygiene Study Club. Like our doctors’ study club, this study club is made for hygienists would like to access the highest quality continuing education programming available. One key difference is that our hygiene members have an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment, meeting in person for at least a few sessions each year.
The group is open to all hygienists, even if they practice for a doctor not currently in our TNPS doctors’ study club. We always encourage our hygiene members to recruit colleagues, coworkers, and friends to join, as we believe that our greatest learning occurs when we learn as a group.
This year marks another milestone – the roll out of “The Aviary”, a new comprehensive learning program designed for hygienists. In addition to a few of our sessions being “in person”, our hygiene members will have access to an online, monthly program of live webinars. These programs can be attended from home or work.
As a result, we can offer hygiene members up to 24 hours of CE this year. Please see the link for our program for 2025-2026 and the link for information about “The Aviary” below.
